Lasagna

Mom’s lasagna.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 28 fl oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 package spaghetti mix
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 package lasagna noodles (oven ready)
  • cottage cheese
  • mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • 8-10 long noodles lasagna noodles
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese (grated)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Brown ground beef. Drain excess fat.

  3. Add diced tomatoes, spaghetti mix, and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt to taste.

  4. Combine the sauce, lasagna noodles, cottage cheese, and mozzarella cheese into three layers. Save extra mozzarella for the top.

  5. Place half the lasagna noodles in a baking dish. Cover with a third of the sauce. Add half the mozzarella cheese.

  6. Bake in a oven for 25-30 minutes.

  7. Let stand for 15 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.
